I don’t know if it’s deliberate or just flowing through your unconscious, but this is strikingly Hegelian. The idea of gaining self-consciousness through reflection of the other, the idea of desiring that other, the ultimate synthesis. Love this one.

I wrote this poem probably 3 years ago. I do a number of things before publishing, but this one really needed no edits after a re-read. When I first started reading Phenomenology of Spirit, I knew immediately within maybe 10 pages, I had already been on the same wavelength that Hegel was on for a long time in my life. Or at least I look at the universe the same way, definitely from a more Zen perspective than his Christian perspective, but it really is interesting how people come from different angles but get at the same conclusions or pathways to similar conclusions.

Thanks for the discussion and compliment!!

I am feeling something non dual but not entirely sure.

Yeah, I sort of go from singular perspective to whole and back to singular. Thanks for the read as always!!

Wonderfully zoomed both in and out. Panned and tilted 360 degrees. This poem has dimension and strength. 🙏🏼
