Flagpole
Anytime / All the time
Anytime All the time My flagpole is At half-staff Where tears accompany A breath removed To little fanfare A common theme Always someone Somewhere anywhere Going through Something everything The everyday Tragedy's day Anytime All the time The flagpole Remains as is And the ship lists A motion stopped Where attention neglected But missed when passed To listen in Is to feel alone Mourning those gone A presence felt By someone Everyone Anytime All the time My flagpole is At half-staff By: Trevor Kuether

Really powerful poem💛
Not an interruption, grief was always there. Beautifully articulated, Trevor.
