With eyes peering in on itself / to the mind anomaly

With eyes peering in on itself 
to the mind anomaly

a universe comes forth 
from the depths of nihility.

It’s those cooperators 
in survival and conquest.

Maximum excitations 
of this local galaxy group.

An Earth ever-expanding
its consciousness gauge,

blooms on the phylogenetic tree
to introspective tooled primates.

Humans . . . which the universe 
now feels most closely

on this pulsating rock 
of the death emanations.

As hands-on the chest of life, 
a connection can sever - 

a negation along 
the awareness felt-spectrum.

Where existence itself
has little change upon the scales,

but when a spark ceases, 
a presence collapses to nil,

propagating outward
for each of those lost

like spacetime waves
from merging black holes.

Presenting to higher-order beings 
that we are here,

that this spot in the expanse 
is occupied and ever so lively.
