To stand up for us
To say in defiant projection

Anxiety hangs from the shaky hand

Where fingers struggle in static presence
And each picks the other for relevance

Is an incursion of the mind on the body

Comfort and pain in boredom everlasting
The animus drives through the confusion

With a flick for frantic thought patterns  

A vigorous rub to calm the inner child
A scratch to dissuade the compulsions

Paralysis in soothing repetition ad infinitum

Brings a raw skin climax into relaxation
Which is enough to bleed, wince, and smile

While lamenting the habit, I continue it still

Into a routine hallway of spatial disillusionment
Reference frame null where windows negated

While thought patterns of the substrate persist
Overhead lights greet the walking confused

Focus and discombobulation on the same nerves
Be transported or languish, to disappear anyway

Into a time warp where tomorrow is yesterday
And yesterday is now when tomorrow is here

For a corridor of reckoning of the unaware mind
Wraps us in the trepidation transplantation tomb

Windowless and troubled, barren opportunities
Where flickers of memories spasm right along

A doorway to anywhere is some distance farther
Or the exit just within hand's welcoming reach

of a flayed culture

this herd existence
is this presence

of hither and thither
placid prey in prone

to akimbo spasms neglected 
the moans like fog

low among the rungs
dense in rancor

a fixation lamentation
of sulfuric desperation 

since time immemorial
the masses are in wait

yet held down by
comfort and protection

and ordered from atop
the Alphas in harmony

with economic dictation
and totalitarian manipulation 

the transactional sacrificial
hate seeps on through

but gnawed bones and all
your choice

to peace acquiesce
zazen nonetheless

for the memories will cling

and wide-eyed reality freezes
to what begins anew is the now

a free range in spacetime sits
as amnesia breaks the vase

a tablecloth covered illusion
the consciousness still held

as a meditative reflex 
shock felt

a crash of a staff
- snapback

this form of finite feature living
in fight, flight, or freeze certainty 

but stationary still
and hovering 

basking all over
and holding

forever spread out 
and sensing

choices bounded
ah the choices

here or there
never outward

never gone
but always had

Naked 
Scorched to one's base thoughts

From a mushroom cloud of relevance
An elemental morsel with sized power

Is the dried destroyer of cultural pillars
Whether it be for pleasure or purpose

Wields flames to studious suppositions
Upon a shockwave to the perceptions

A presence of the past self reflected
Swaths of information leveled useless

And a mind held to annihilation’s form
To emerge from a lifelong slumber

In a sanguine setting of awed stillness 
The charred memories to be discarded

Replaced with a fistful of revelations
As fluttered flakes of reinterpretation 

Drift down upon the newly initiated 
A maturation from the contamination

Of a wide-eyed, but still blurry animal
To be reconstructed and reestablished

Laid bare from a core-being transmuted
Where a new dawn has thus arrived

Clothed
Warmed from the savory fallout

Born in the culture that is

Set in my ways like laminar flow

The collapsed mind summons
An iconography of yester
 
Of the duality in circuitry
Existential conceptual hierarchy

Love between two builds
The true universal bridge

forcing itself on this plane

Obstinacy drifts upon the weathered worm food

And sustained by the institutions that govern
As we feast on the bread that lives deep within

The dough that's set during cultured childhood
Rising with society's everlasting hunger for peace

An illusion is set on the distant dunes of a utopia
A mirage that salivates our collective dreams

Where cycles that can liberate us, link our chains
Still gazing upon the animals on the wild grasses

Cooperation our most gifted asset in conquest
Yet it still eludes the entirety of our collective 

For the terminus of universal unity sits in wait

Home to the mode of separation
Squirms in a closed-off system
Is a sty of four dimensions

For the briefest of times herein
This subjugation of One's doing
A journey of the frail and fraught

As the consciousness bulk
Is neither here nor there
But tethered to everywhere

A direct line connection
To the amorphous bath
Of entity wandering witnesses

We reach for the cycle of feels
And disintegrate into the composition
Through bonds of companionship

To rid the acidity of isolation
Amongst myselves in dynamism 
And forget a once hegemonic control

Where outside this finite realm
Of no observational restrictions 
And infinite clarity of circumstance

There is the sole prevailing 
And overarching conundrum
Which never ceases in no-time

That without these confines
Upon the mortal happenings
It finds itself of only itself

A Mind in diversional contentment
To a self One strays
And of a Nothing sits

A nebulous amaranthine
Like a cavern of only tunneled opaque
Where the surfaces blend away

The numinous-hued something
With ideas of any multiplicity 
Succumbing to a continual verdict

That alone of the void
Singular in essence
A Presence is about Absence
